One of Fort Collins’ claims to fame is being the home of Fat Tire beer! New Belgium is an important part of our city’s culture. Not only are they great corporate citizens, they have helped build awareness in our community about our environment and how businesses can be highly successful and and be responsible environmental stewards at the same time. Investors Have Window of Opportunity as Lenders Lift Stricter Limits on Multiple Loans

In August, many lenders reacted to Freddie Mac’s new policy limiting the number of mortgage loans a borrower could have to 4 in anticipation of Fannie Mae following suit, as it often does, by implementing the same policy.  Fannie Mae has yet to follow Freddie Mac’s lead, but many lenders expect it to in the near future and are still limiting mortgage loans to 4 per borrower.  However, some lenders have chosen to lift the loan limit until that happens, providing a window of opportunity for real estate investors to qualify for as many as 10 conventional mortgage loans. A bigger percentage of Fort Collins-Loveland’s firms experienced impressive growth in sales and employment from ’02 through ’06 compared with Colorado’s other counties and metropolitan statistical areas. The U.S. Small Business Administration’s recently released “High-Impact Firms: Gazelles Revisited” study looked at how many employers within counties and MSA’s experienced significant revenue growth – doubling sales over 4 years – and added 2 or more employees. The Home Builders Association of Northern Colorado will host a closed-site tour of five multimillion-dollar homes by local builders at Thompson Crossing, located on the southeast quadrant of I-25 and US 34 in Johnstown, May 17-June 15.  The parade will feature homes by Bartran Construction, Inc., Lasaris LLC, Benchmark Custom Homes, Gerrard Construction, Inc. and Stoner Customer Homes.  The event is expected to draw 40,000+ visitors.  Tickets are $10 for adults; children 16 and under free and are available at www.ColoradoParade.com or at King Soopers Tickets West Outlets.
